Just before the Quilandy bus stop, we got the usual heavy traffic and we stopped at a point for few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>One thing I like about Calicut and Quilandy is the presence of old buildings &#8211; from 50s and earlier.<\/p>\n<p>This building which runs a shop and one of the oldest art societies  in the area &#8212; PVKM Memorial Art Society &#8212; caught our attention.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1500\" src=\"http:\/\/raks.in\/deux\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/PSX_20191105_103404.jpg\" width=\"1437\" height=\"2609\" srcset=\"https:\/\/raks.in\/deux\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/PSX_20191105_103404.jpg 1437w, https:\/\/raks.in\/deux\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/PSX_20191105_103404-165x300.jpg 165w, https:\/\/raks.in\/deux\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/PSX_20191105_103404-768x1394.jpg 768w, https:\/\/raks.in\/deux\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/PSX_20191105_103404-564x1024.jpg 564w, https:\/\/raks.in\/deux\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/PSX_20191105_103404-600x1089.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1437px) 100vw, 1437px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Built in 1951, guessing from the year written on the top left corner, it still has got those wooden shutters.
